If you have trouble to run the server program, you need to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 C++ redistributable package.

1. Usage

- Make sure your mobile device connected to router (wi-fi) that used by your computer

- Run CDU Device app from mobile device 

You can see the welcome screen

Touch the monitor will enlarge the font (toggle)

- Run CDU Server 1.5 from your computer

  !important! You must run this app with administrator privileges!

In the left listbox, double click left mouse button at the 'Simulator path not set <Double click here >' line.

Select your proper flight simulation folder and hit 'OK' button.

- Server program will

  * automatically add firewall rule for this app

  * automatically check the pmdg products version

  * automatically edit options ini file for CDU

You can check 'description' for more info.

This is the sample image that 737 products must upgraded first.

- Check the message that the mobile device connected to your computer.

- Check the server UI that client connected properly

At the right buttom listbox, current connected client ip address is shown.

And The right top side 'network adapters' listbox, you can see data transfer with tiny animation.

But this status does not mean you can use the CDU.
Just launch your flight simulator and load your flight with PMDG products.

- Check the flight simulation connected

You can see 'Have a nice flight!!!' message when you launch your flight simulation.

After this, just click plane figure and then you can see the CDU page.

2. MOBILE UI description

- Welcome Screen

This is the welcome touch enable area

- Toggle font size

  You can use this when you can't see the text because it's too small. (toggle)

- Exit app

  The program will exit

- Reset server address

  Reset server address that stored by mobile device.

- Help documents

  It will show this help image

- CDU Screen

- Night Shift

  Day/Night shift button

- Exit app

  Exit application

- Return to Welcome Screen

  Go back to welcome screen

!NOTE!

When you select 'minimize' button of the server program, it will go to tray icon section (not the task bar)

If you want to popup the window again, just double click PMDG Device server icon from the tray icon or open it through right mouse click.

3. Trouble Shooting

3.1 Cannot get any data from the cdu server

If you launch the CDU Server 1.5ex and the mobile device didn't get any data from the cdu server, check below items.

  - Make sure you turn on your mobile device's wi-fi

  - Make sure you connected same router that used by the computer

3.2 Mobile device get data from the CDU Server but CDU Server cannot get any data from the client (client list not show any mobile device address)

It's probably the CDU Server 1.5 is in the block list of the windows firewall

open up 'Control Panel' and type 'firewall' from the search edit box.

Select 'Windows Firewall' from the list.

On the left side, there will be 'Allow app or feature through the Windows firewall' or something like that.

At the new window, search CDU Server program from the list and if you found it, delete it or unblock the program.

Relaunch the CDU Server and you can see the mobile device's ip and port.

3.3 Mobile device display broken data or button works but blank cdu display.

This caused by duplicated sdk section in your ini file.

There is probably two [sdk] section in your file.

ex)

[SDK]

EnableDataBroadcast=1

[SDK]

EnableDataBroadcast=1

EnableCDUBroadcast.0=1

In this case, delete upper line then restart your fight simulator.
It will fix your problem.

EnableDataBroadcast means PMDG will allow export data. 
EnableCDUBroadcast means PMDG will allow export CDU display.

3.4 Connection ok but blank CDU (another case)

If you use illegal copy of pmdg products, it may not work properly.
Especially 737 NGX.
